PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE 2012

It is with great delight and anticipation that I invite each and every one of you to join me and all my friends at the 2012 edition of the Forest Fall Fair! As always, our dedicated volunteers are full steam ahead and a bee hive of activity is shaping the events that will make this fair better than all the others!

The Forest Fair is an Agricultural Fair, which is planned and executed by the passionately dedicated members of the Forest and District Agricultural Society. This society has many functions but our main focus is promoting agriculture and educating everyone we can about the important roll agriculture plays in our history, our everyday lives, and in our future. We accomplish this while at the same time providing all members of our community a chance to come together and enjoy each others company.

Whether you’re catching up with old friends or making some new ones; or taking a break from the sometimes hectic pace of life and relaxing with your family; the Fair has something for all of us! Organizing this Fair takes a tremendous amount of work by countless volunteers, however all of the effort is worth while, when we see our friends and neighbors having fun and creating lifelong memories. I am excited about our new events this year and I am looking forward to seeing you all at the Forest Fall Fair!

THANK YOU   from the Forest Fairboard Ladies

Ladies, you did it again, thank you to the members and volunteers who helped out on fair weekend and at our work bees.  Whether you were cutting pies, dishing up turkey burgers or beef on a bun; waiting on customers, getting the meat ready, it all helped to make the weekend a success.  Thank you to the ladies who put the Friday noon meal out, the North Lambton Super Strokers Dragon Boat Team and the Athletic Club from NLSS for cleaning tables and tending to the condiment table dishes, it sure helped us.  Also to the ones that ran errands, picking up groceries etc. Thanks again.  It was a great weekend.

Also to the members and volunteers that helped on steam threshers weekend and to the North Lambton Super Strokers Dragon Boat team for cleaning the tables etc, it sure helps us a lot.

Forest and District Agricultural Society would like to Thank all the volunteers who make our fair a success!!
